Tom Kazo and Rhett: MP Sentry Dog in Vietnam

Photos from Book

Can you help to identify any of Tom’s fellow MPs in the above photos? Or any of the structures? The color photos were taken around April 1967, and it is believed Tom’s base camp of the 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog) was at Pleiku, in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. This book tells the true story of U.S. Army Military Police Sentry Dog K9-39X2, Rhett, and his handler, Military Policeman and Green Beret, SP4 Thomas F. Kazo. We owe Rhett so much, because this 4-legged hero saved Tom Kazo’s life multiple times. Tom came home to Miami, Florida and went on to accomplish great deeds to benefit humanity, animals, and the environment.
No one who met him ever forgot him.
Author Donna McVicar Kazo, Tom’s widow, made it her mission to finally honor Rhett’s and Tom’s valorous service.

The book contains 70+ photos, many never seen before, most taken by Tom in Vietnam.
